Gold Coast

When she was just a girl,
She expected the world,
But it flew away from her reach,
And bullets catching her teeth.
Life goes on,
It gets so heavy,
The wheel breaks the butterfly.
Every tear, a waterfall.
In the night, the stormy night,
She closed her eyes.
In the night, the stormy night,
Away she flied.

Maybe it was the warm weather and the beautiful beaches or the fact that I was so far away from home that I could forget my problems and enjoy spending time with my family or maybe just maybe it was the fact that in every photo I seem to have I was wearing my ' Welcome to Paradise' T-shirt but everytime I think of my holiday on the Gold Coast the first thing that comes to my mind is the song Paradise by Coldplay or maybe it was just that I got obsessed with this song during my trip and had it on replay the entire trip.

Whatever the reason, it makes sense because I was truly using this trip as a form of escapism.

It wasn't always perfect, for one our 1 hour flight got stuck in the air for three hours due to storms and had to be diverted to Brisbane turning our 1 hour trip into a 7 hour journey but I'm glad we landed safely.

But in hindsight the good times definitely outweighed the bad including going bodyboarding nearly everday the first week, wrapping everything humanly possible into puffpastry and trying to pass it off as dessert ( timtams, kingston biscuits, cheese, mashmellows which i do not recommend because they melt and go everywhere and cheezels!), going to themeparks and being forced by my cousin to go on rides which she immediately regretted because after she took me on them once I would drag her on the same ride a million times in a row, discovering cinnamon sugar and how amazing it is, getting so scared in the mystery room in Infinity that we had to wait until the next family came in and then waiting even longer because we can't tell if they are just our reflect in the mirror even though there was 6 of them and 3 of us... and i could just keep going on and on because it was that amazing.

Sorry for the hiatus, I have had lots going on in my life recently, but I hope to post more regularly from now on.
