Minion movie trailer

First of all I'm soooo sorry for not posting in a long time I have been really busy with assignments and tests so have neglected my blog lately. On the bright side only 4 more weeks of school left for this year.

As I mentioned in my earlier post The top 5 cutest and funniest non-human sidekicks I love minions! So, I was more than excited to hear that the adorable creatures are getting there own spin-off movie in less than a year!

Here is the official trailer that was released a couple of days ago.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

The Minions, breakout stars from "Despicable Me," are presented in an origin story that showcases their unpredictable personality and physicality, and pairs them with equally memorable human characters. As it turns out, Minions have existed since the beginning of time. They have evolved from single (yellow) cell organisms into the familiar beings we know, and they live for a collective purpose: to seek out and serve the most despicable master they can find. Academy Award winner Sandra Bullock will lead the voice cast of the human characters as Scarlett Overkill, the world's reigning super-villain of the 1960s.

I normally don't get obsessed over upcoming movies but I really can't wait to see how this movie turns out. Part of me is worried about what will happen if it doesn't live up to expectation, but if it is done right this will strengthen the minion brand and fan-base. I'm interested to find out how much of the movie is made up of showing the minions with their various 'masters' in the trailer and their time spent in Antartica being 'depressed' which is completely ironic because the last thing anyone thinks of when they think of minions is depression.

From the trailer the main minions identified are Kevin, Stuart and Bob who are off on an adventure to find the biggest baddest villan to serve that leads them to New York in the year 1968 which the trailer points out is 42 years B.G which will ultimately take them to Scarlet Overkill ( Sandra Bullock) who unfortunately did not feature in the trailer and whose character design has yet to be released.

So in conclusion I'm really excited for this movie, unfortunately it doesn't get released until boxing day next year here in Australia however hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Change... Is it good or bad?

It's a simple fact of life: Change will happen whether we want it to or not.

Over the course of this year so much has changed in terms of my friendships. I thought I was going to be good friends with this girl for a long time but this year something changed and now she no longer talks to me. At first, I refused to believe that this was the case. I was certain that by the beginning of term 2 things would go back to the way they were last year. They did go back to the way they were occasionally, but for no longer than a week. Then things got really bad recently, stuff happened (sorry about being vague but its really personal) that confirmed that we may never be friends again. Some days I accept this fact, other nights I cry myself to sleep wondering what I did wrong. Its now October and even those this happened in February I am still not completely over it and may still not be for some time.

 However, this quote sums up exactly what happened. Yes, I lost a good friend and I'm still struggling to accept this fact but during this time I have formed new friendships and strengthened old ones with other friends. I'm learning who are my real friends and who I can trust. I still haven't completely figured this out but I know that next year things might completely change again, but this time I'll be prepared.

i don't normally write such personal things on this blog but I felt like I had to write this down because I have had a hard time explaining this to people in real life.

On a happier note I would like to thank all my friends who have put up with all of my complaining and listened when I have been upset. I don't know how I would've coped without you. :)

Camping

I would like to start this post off by apologizing for not posting in such a long time. The reason for this is that I went camping down the coast with my family. I wanted to take lots of pictures to share with you but unfortunately my phone ran out of space so i wasn't able to take as many as I had hoped.

We spent two nights camping in a tent at a caravan park  that was close by the beach at a town called Boyd town.

The beach was only a short walk and both nights we walked along the beach to a nearby hotel and drank hot chocolates.

We found this fire when walking back from the hotel on the first night at first we thought it was an orange light in the distance. 

On the last day we went to a shop in a nearby town called Milton because I won a $30 voucher for one of their stalls at their scarecrow festival earlier this year with which I bought these.








On a sadder note school holidays in the ACT finish at the end of this week:(  so I will be posting even less frequently.

Spring list

At this point in the Southern Hemisphere we are going into (natural) Spring! The weather is warming up, the cherry blossoms are coming out and school finished yesterday so I decided to come up with a list of activities I plan to do in the holidays and Spring more in general.

1. Drawing
I'm terrible at drawing but I am determined to get better and draw anyway. Lately I have found lots of inspiration on Instagram particularly of Disney fanart accounts and I would like to be able to draw ( obviously not to the standard of some of those accounts) but something to an extent which you would be able to make out what it is actually supposed to be. If I am successful I will post pictures.

2. Floriade
Floriade is a flower festival held in Canberra ( which I will be posting more on later in the week) its hard to explain because it is about more than just the flowers, there are shops, roaming entertainment and other activities and best of all its free! I plan to go a couple of times throughout the holidays.

3. Write
As I have said before at some point in the future I would like to have a career that involves writing, so I would like to get some practice not just writing stories but also experimenting with other forms of writing like script writing and song writing. On top of that I will also try to post as often as possible on this blog in the next two weeks. I also have an English creative due the first week of next term so my holidays will definitely be filled with lots of writing!

4.  Craft
I'm not quite sure what type of craft exactly but whatever I can find the resources to do and can figure out how to do. Last holidays I tried making miniature food items with my cousin out of clay and I was ok at that so I would like to try something unique. If you have any suggestions feel free to comment.

5. Cupcake/cake decorating
I have made a few batches of cupcakes recently but haven't had the time and resources to actually decorate them. The last time I decorated cupcakes was for the RSPCA cupcake day last month and the last time I decorated a cake was for a show in February.

6. Photography
By photography I mean taking photos using my iphone not a fancy camera. I have a talent of taking the worst pictures using my phone. I may not have the best camera but I would still like to attempt to take good pictures which hopefully I can incorporate in future posts.

7.  Spend more time with my dog.
 Over the Winter I have neglected spending time playing with my dog and only really spent time with her at night but with the weather warming up I can hopefully spend more time with her outside.

8. Bike rides
I haven't ridden my bike sadly for all of this Winter so I hope to ride my bike down to my local lake which is lined with deciduous trees which in Spring are full of peach blossoms which makes the atmosphere very nice.

9. Dance
I have learnt so many different dance routines over the last term that I would like to just dance without a purpose without having to do set steps. We also have a task where we have to come up with a dance based on a musical ( my group is doing Matilda) next term so I will try and come up with some ideas for that.

This picture is kind of  misleading because I'm not actually allowed to use my pointe shoes ( its a long story).

10. Juggling
Another one of my hobbies and I got inspired by watching some street jugglers last night to try new tricks and juggling different stuff like clubs. At the moment I can only juggle three balls and two in one hand.  I know that these tricks can take ages to master but when I first learnt how to juggle I was so determined that I spent about three hours straight throwing three balls up and only catching them half of the time. I don't think I have ever been so determined to accomplish something in my life (which is kinda sad). Along with this I would also like to practice some more magic tricks, I have several kits of different stuff (which I haven't touched in years).

Blog under maintenance

Hi again,

Sorry it has been a while I have been so busy with assessments lately that i have been finding it hard to have time to post ( I will be posting my Liebster award sometime in the next couple of weeks). On top of these assessments I have also had a dance performance, a music performance and Tournament of the Minds so it has been a busy couple of weeks. Term 3 of school finishes at the end of next week so i plan to spend some of my holidays working on my blog and improving it.

Which brings me to my next point, my current design of my blog is basic and lacks originality so during this time I will be experimenting to create something more interesting and unique which reflects the overall style of my blog. I have come to this decision after looking through many blogs and seeing that most appear to have personalized buttons ( I still don't know how to make these so if you have any suggestions for what my blog should look like or how to actually make a blog feel free to comment) and widgets and themes that have a personal flare. As some of you might be aware I have also been having formatting issues that I have been trying to fix (I have taken note of your suggestions and have started using chrome).

If you have any suggestions and ideas about how to improve my blog feel free to leave a comment :)

Does anyone know how to fix formatting issues

Sorry, like the title suggests this isn't a very exciting post so feel free to skip it, but I would really appreciate some help if you know anything about Blogger and how to fix the issues I have been experiencing.


Basically I have been experiencing several issues including the following:


1. Whenever I try to upload photos the screen freezes and I have to close the page down


2. Some of my pictures are disappearing when I edit pages yet seem to move when I attempt to click on things with my mouse.


3. I have been getting some rather weird spacing which DOESN'T appear when I edit the page.


Your Help would be really appreciated so please comment if you know anything about these issues.
